I am happy for Tern that she was given the space to come into her own. What a gift you've given her.

The Peace of Wild Things is like a prayer from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer to me. I recite it as such, especially in times like these.

Have you heard one of his other lines. It escapes me now where I’ve seen it.

Be joyful

Even though you know the facts

Here across the Atlantic the shouting is indeed overwhelming, and I need to walk in Tern's footsteps to keep from hiding under my bed or simply going mad. But I have a Red Mare of my own, Wendell Berry's poem tacked to my frig, and his books by my bedside, among other places. I hope the good side of humanity will survive.
