I love how quaintly old-fashioned it sounds! In these days of “here, let me vomit up every emotion I’m having and please read and validate and like and share it”, a little restraint sounds like good advice.

Agree. I had to learn not to tweet before coffee time as I was far too bumptious earlier. Fortunately tweeting is over now anyway.

That's making me laugh quite a lot. (I still call it tweeting, rather like very old people when I was young still referred to 'the electric telephone'. Or madly sent telegrams at the drop of a hat.)

This is brilliant. I have an Aunt Mabel who was perfection so I will search for an appropriate and exotic name - like Broomhilda or Esmeralda.

Very good insight, we definitely live in a time where “over-sharing” and “trauma-dumping” are real and frequent. Restraint is a great skill for all of us to practice.
